Housing
A $1,250 housing fee is automatically added to your invoice unless you opt out. This fee guarantees a private single room for the full program period.
Japanese consumption tax (消費税 10%) will be added to all invoices.
You may opt out of the official housing if you prefer a different arrangement. Opt-outs must be requested by the stated deadline in your offer letter. After the deadline, the housing fee is non-refundable and the room cannot be guaranteed for release. If you choose to book independently, please carefully consider Tokyo’s size and rush-hour travel times, particularly to and from Shinjuku station. Commuting across the city during peak hours can take significantly longer than expected.
