About Tokyo Opera Studio
Tokyo Opera Studio’s dual mission is to foster artistic growth in young artists and emerging professionals–bridging the gap between conservatory training and professional career—while building a genuine cultural bridge between Western and Japanese classical performing arts
We achieve this through intensive, conservatory-level coaching in standard-repertoire roles led by master faculty with active international careers and positions at some of the world’s leading music universities, paired with deep immersion in Japanese culture. Excursions have consisted of private traditional music workshops with the Zakuro ensemble, Kabukiza Theatre visits, Bon Odori participation, and guided historical experiences at Tokyo’s great temples and shrines. These encounters inspire fresh artistic perspectives, forge lifelong international networks, and actively support the rise of talented young artists on the global stage.

What to expect
Staging Rehearsals
Each day you will have six hours of staging rehearsals to mount our show, run by our incredible team of faculty artists.
Cultural Activities
Your tuition includes several cultural activities to help you catch a glimpse into Japanese culture and explore several different parts of one of the largest cities on earth.
Lessons and Masterclasses
When not exploring Tokyo or learning something new, you’ll have several classes and Masterclasses about singing and working as an artist.
